COVID-19 Update – Judd Wire Operational – 25th March 2020

Order Assuring Continued Operation of Essential Services
Judd Wire Operating as ‘Essential and Critical Services’

In the face of the growing novel coronavirus crisis, on Monday 23rd March the Governor Commonwealth of Massachusetts ordered a stay-at-home advisory, and in addition ordered all nonessential business in Massachusetts to close by midday Tuesday 24th March.

Judd Wire immediately reviewed the State guidelines (Exhibit A COVID-19 Essential Services) which lists the categories of qualification as an ‘essential business operation.’ Judd also reviewed the ‘critical infrastructure services’ status definition from the State of California, which covers our operations in San Diego.

Judd Wire received clarification of various supply chain partners (OEM’s and Tier-1) of their status as an essential operations business and flow-down requirements. Thank you for your proactive notifications.

Upon review of the State guidelines of ‘essential operations,’ it cites that the Medical, Defense, Rail and Transportation sectors are listed as critical manufacturing activities and therefore deemed as essential.

Following the flow down-notice and the review of the State directive, our legal and professional teams have determined that Judd Wire is depended upon as an ‘essential business’ and therefore it is important to continue operations in the safest possible method.

Saving people’s lives is the priority, for our associates and our communities at large, and manufacturing the critical components which are deemed necessary supports others to do the same.

Like most companies, Judd Wire previously implemented various policies to stop the spread of the virus and to keep associates safe; working from home policies for those who can and practicing social distancing (according to the Department for Public Health) for those who are required to be at the plant.

In order to effectively organize, configure and prioritize our manufacturing capabilities, we encourage our customers to be as clear as possible on their forward demand profile, so we can responsibly allocate our capabilities accordingly.

Your Judd Wire assigned commercial professional will be in regular contact with you to manage your forecast, open orders and delivery schedules responsibly.

Please call us for any additional support in these challenging times.

Yours sincerely,
